Step-by-step guide

Client transfer
within UOB

If you already have a UOB Kay Hian account under another dealer, you do not need to open a new one. One form moves your existing account over to me.

Your account number, your holdings and your history all stay the same. Only the dealer name changes.

The four steps

Form, fill, sign, send
01

Download the transfer of dealer form

Open the link below and download the form. Print it and fill it in by hand, or type into it on your phone or computer.

02

Fill in only these lines

The form has more boxes than you need. In the diagram, gold boxes are yours to fill in. Everything marked grey is not for you — leave it completely empty.

Boxes 4 and 5 carry the same answer. That is correct, not a mistake.

03

Sign it — box 6

Sign on the line above Client’s Signature, about halfway down the page. That is the only signature you give.

The two boxes below it — Transfer Request Agreed By and For Office Use — are for the dealers and UOB staff. Leave both completely blank.

Use the same signature you signed with UOB before. UOB checks it against their records — a different signature gets the form rejected, and we start again.

04

Send the form to me

Send the signed form to me or my team and we process it from there. A clear photo or a scan is fine.

Make sure the whole page is in the picture and the writing is readable.

Before you send it

Eight quick checks
Check the form

Not sure about any line? Send me a photo of the form before you sign it. Easier to check now than to redo it later.

For education only. Not personal advice. UOB Kay Hian applies a cooling-off period on transfer requests, and the form is processed on their timeline, not mine.
