This page explains what I collect from you on this website, why I collect it, where it is kept, and how you can get it changed or removed.

It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me and I will explain it properly.

In one line

The only personal details I hold are the ones you type into a form. I count page visits without cookies and without identifying anyone, and I never sell anything to anybody.

Who is responsible

JJ STRATEGIC PARTNERS PLT, registration 202504003363 (LLP0044884-LGN), Malaysia. Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 this makes us the “data user” for your information.

This notice is given under Section 7 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia). By sending a form on this site, you consent to your details being used as described below.

What I collect, and what I don’t

What I collect
  • Your name, when you fill in a form
  • Your email address
  • Your phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to give it
  • For a call request: the topic, your preferred date and time, and anything you write in the message box
  • The date and time the form was sent
  • Separately, and not linked to you: a count of which pages are opened, roughly which country the visit came from, whether it was a phone or a computer, and which link brought the visitor here
What I do not collect
  • Cookies — this site sets none at all
  • Anything in the visit counts that could identify you personally
  • Your IP address — it is never stored
  • Your precise location
  • Advertising or social media pixels
  • Any record of you across other websites
  • Any financial information: no account numbers, no card details, no holdings
  • Any personal detail at all if you read the site without sending a form

The detail

Why I collect it

Only to reply to you. Your name and email let me send the monthly market outlook you asked for and answer your message personally. Your phone number, if you give it, lets me reply on WhatsApp instead. I do not add you to any list you did not ask for, and I do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else.

The visitor counter

I use Plausible to count how many people open each page. I chose it specifically because it sets no cookies, never stores an IP address, and cannot follow you to any other website. It reports only totals — how many visits a page had, roughly which country they came from, phone or computer, and which link people arrived by. There is nothing in it that points at a person, so nothing in it can be traced back to you. Plausible stores its data on servers in the European Union. This is also why the site needs no cookie banner.

The passcode pages are not counted

The dividend portfolio page and the Inner Circle notes are excluded from the counter completely. No visit to either is recorded, by me or by anyone else.

Where it is kept

In a database hosted by Supabase, on servers in Singapore. The website itself is served by Netlify, and the visit counter is run by Plausible in the European Union. All three are processors acting on my instructions and none is permitted to use your details for their own purposes. Because these providers operate internationally, your data may be transferred outside Malaysia; it is protected by the same terms wherever it sits.

Who can see it

Me. The database is locked down so that a form can add a new row but nothing can read the rows back without an administrator login, which only I hold. Your details are not shared with, sold to, or rented to anybody else. The only exception is if I am required to disclose something by law or by a regulator.

How long I keep it

For as long as we have a reason to be in contact, and no longer than is useful. If you ask me to delete your details, I will do it and confirm once it is done. Some records may need to be kept longer where a law or a regulator requires it.

What your browser stores

This site sets no cookies. It does use your browser’s local storage for three small conveniences that never leave your device: remembering a passcode you have entered so you do not retype it, remembering which steps you have ticked off in a guide, and remembering that you have read the disclaimer. You can clear all of it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

Pages behind a passcode

Some pages need a passcode. When one is entered, the site records only that an attempt was made, whether it succeeded, and when — so that automated guessing can be blocked. No name, email or other personal detail is recorded with it.

Links to other services

Some buttons take you off this site — to Google Calendar to book a call, to Instagram, to YouTube, or to a Google Sheet or Slides document. Once you leave, that company’s own privacy policy applies and not this one. Videos on this site are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not set cookies unless you press play.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask me for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct anything that is wrong, ask me to stop using it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email me and I will act on it. There is no charge for a reasonable request, and I aim to reply within 21 days.

Children

This site is meant for adults. I do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent me their details, tell me and I will remove them.

If this page changes

The date at the top shows when this notice was last updated. If I ever add cookies, advertising tools, or anything that collects more than is described above, I will update this page first and say so plainly rather than quietly switching it on.
